Sheriff Goodin and Staff Tour the Refuge for Children...What a Wonderful Place for Kids!

Scott County-On 10-31-2022, Sheriff Jerry Goodin and staff were thrilled to tour the Refuge for Children in Austin, expected to open soon. A supporter of the Refuge for Children idea since its inception, the Scott County Sheriff's Office has generated funds for the home totaling more than $8,000, mainly from contributions generated by the Sheriff's Office Mascot, Deputy Donut.  Soon, Deputy Donut will be moved to his permanent home at the Refuge for Children when it officially opens, where he can continue his role as a friend to the children of Scott County.
