Detective Shofner, accompanied by Scott County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Barrett, placed Evans under arrest as he was being released from the Clark County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges. Evans was transported to the Scott County Jail without incident. Sheriff Goodin advised the following concerning this arrest... "Although this arrest doesn't bring the deceased family member back, we are hopeful it will provide some answers and closure to the family".  When Sheriff Goodin was elected Sheriff of Scott County, he made a commitment to aggressively seek out those involved in these tragic deaths.
