Scott County Sheriff's Deputies Make the Following Arrests...Working Hard-Fighting Against Crime

Scott County-The following criminal arrests were made by Scott County Sheriff's Deputies as the push continues to eradicate illegal activity from our community.

On September 20th, Joshua Francis, 42, of Orleans, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

On September 21st, Tiffany Wallace, 47, of Scottsburg, IN was arrested on Warrants for Escape- Fleeing from Lawful Detention, Criminal Recklessness- Armed with a Deadly Weapon, and an Out of County Warrant ( Clark County, IN.)

The following arrests were made on September 22nd;

Scottie Samson, 25, of Austin, IN was arrested on a warrant to serve time from a previous conviction.

 

Tommy Sons, 24, of North Vernon, IN was arrested on a warrant for Child Molesting - Performs or submits to fondling or touching with a child under 14.

James Hendricks, 36, of Seymour, IN was arrested on a warrant for Battery to a Public Safety Official and Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

The following arrests were made on September 23rd;

William Swartling, 50, of Scottsburg, IN was arrested for Intimidation- with a Deadly Weapon.                 

 

Michael Begley, 42, of Crothersville, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Strangulation and Domestic Battery.

On September 27th, Chris Tharp, 36, of Lexington, IN was arrested on a warrant for Previous Charges and is serving time.

The following arrests were made on September 30th;

Santana Whitman, 30, of Scottsburg, IN was arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and an Out of County Warrant (Floyd County, IN).

Jennifer Marquez, 34, of Austin, IN was arrested for Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Jonathan Stidham, 30, of Scottsburg, IN was arrested on a warrant for Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Battery Resulting in Injury to a Public Safety Official, Intimidation, and Reckless Driving.

NOTE: Not only are Deputies arresting the offenders on the street, but our Deputy Jailers are also offering services and classes to our inmates. These services and classes provide a path for our inmates to get clean while simultaneously receiving much-needed job skills training, their high school equivalency diploma, substance abuse treatment, spiritual involvement with numerous church groups, and association with peer support groups such as Thrive.
