Scott County Sheriff's Deputies "Working Hard Every Day" to make Scott County the Safest Place to live in America

Scott County-The following criminal arrests were made by Scott County Sheriff's Deputies as the push continues to eradicate illegal activity from our community.

On September 13th, Kelly Elliott, 37, of Deputy, IN was arrested on a warrant for Battery resulting in Bodily Injury to a Public Safety Official.

The following arrests were made on September 17th;

Michael West, 27, of Deputy, IN was arrested for Possession of a Synthetic Drug or Synthetic Drug lookalike Substance, Driving While Suspended-Prior, Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug and an out of County Arrest Warrant (Jefferson County, IN.)

Tiffany Alford, 31, of Scottsburg, IN was arrested for Domestic Battery- Committed in the Presence of a child less than 16 and Neglect of a Dependent.

The following arrests were made on September 19th;

Darren Griffith, 39, of North Vernon, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Auto Theft.

Jeffery Combs, 36, of Austin, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Failure to Return to Lawful Detention (IDOC Parole Warrant).

NOTE: Not only are Deputies arresting the offenders on the street, but our Deputy Jailers are also offering services and classes to our inmates. These services and classes provide a path for our inmates to get clean while simultaneously receiving much-needed job skills training, their high school equivalency diploma, substance abuse treatment, spiritual involvement with numerous church groups, and association with peer support groups such as Thrive. We would be remiss to think we can do this alone.
