Scott County Sheriff's Deputies "K-9 Lieutenant Zeus" and "K-9 Corporal Karma" Receive Protective Gear Donated by the Protecting K-9 Heroes Group

Scott County-On 9-09-2022, K-9 Lieutenant Zeus and K-9 Corporal Karma each received protective gear kits donated by the Protecting K-9 Heroes Group from Cook County, Illinois. Each kit contains K-9 trauma supplies, Narcan for exposure to opiates, and Rex Goggles to protect the K-9 Deputy's eyes.  In addition to the protective gear kits, each K-9 Deputy will receive a ballistic vest from the Protecting K-9 Heroes Group, which will be delivered in approximately 60 days.  The total value of the donation is in excess of $1,650.00, another gracious contribution to the Scott County Sheriff's Office and the people of Scott County for the Sheriff's Office K-9 program. Sheriff Goodin provided the following..."we appreciate every bit of support we receive, especially when it doesn't cost the tax payer. That is and will remain a priority as long as I am your Sheriff...on behalf of K-9 Karma and K-9 Zeus, a huge THANK YOU to the Protecting K-9 Heroes Group for their kind gesture".
