Scott County Sheriff's Office Inmate Work Crew "Giving Back to the Community"...Leota Frolic
Scott County-On 8-24-2022, Scott County Sheriff's Jail Deputy Tim Applegate and an eager inmate work crew from the Sheriff's Office converged upon Leota to prepare the area for the annual Leota Frolic scheduled for 26-27 August (this Friday and Saturday). The annual gathering draws local and far away visitors to Leota every year...Deputy Jailer Applegate and the inmate work crew spent several hours cutting grass, trimming bushes and collecting trash from the area so all who visit will experience a clean, proud, country welcome to Scott County. Sheriff Goodin stressed his appreciation to the team for giving back to the community, one of the steps he encourages all inmates incarcerated at the Scott County jail to take. The team dynamic displayed is phenomenal, which is a trait I wish all to take with them when they are returned to the community". From all of us at the Scott County Sheriff's Office, have a great time this weekend at the Leota Frolic!
