Scott County Sheriff's Deputies Remain Vigilant - More Arrest Made after Poor Choices by Offenders

Scott County-Arrests continue to be made by Scott County Sheriff's Deputies as the push continues in the quest to make Scott County the safest place to live in America.

The following arrests were made on May 31st;

Chad Earl, 41 of Lexington, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and for a Sex Offender Residency Violation.

Stephanie Rachels, 49 of Chattanooga, TN was arrested for Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On June 3rd, Matthew Kemp, 23 of Lexington, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Escape - Flees from Lawful Detention.

The following arrests were made on June 4th;

Elaina Barger, 34 of Austin, IN was arrested for Possession of Marijuana/HASH Oil/ or Salvia, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Robert Harold, 67 of Austin, IN was arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement - uses a Vehicle or Draws or Uses a Deadly Weapon, Operating while Intoxicated-Endangering, Operating while Intoxicated-Refusal and Reckless Driving.

On June 7th Richard Pyles, 36 of Lexington IN was arrested for Domestic Battery - Prior

On June 8th, Robert Coffee, 32 of Scottsburg, IN was arrested on Warrants for Auto Theft and Resisting Law Enforcement by Vehicle or Draws or Uses a Deadly Weapon.

On June 9th, Michael Jeffries, 55 of Scottsburg, IN was arrested on a Warrant for Failure to Appear for Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine.

On June 10th Leslie Mason, 40 of Marion County, IN was arrested on an Out of County Warrant.

NOTE:  Not only are Deputies arresting the offenders on the street, our Deputy Jailers are offering services and classes to our inmates.  These services and classes provide a path for our inmates to get clean while simultaneously receiving much needed job skills training, their high school equivalency diploma, substance abuse treatment, spiritual involvement with numerous church groups and association with peer support groups such as Thrive.
