Scott County Sheriff's Deputies Investigate Armed Robbery Complaint - Arrests Made of One (1) Adult and Three Juvenile Offenders

Scott County-On April 20th at approximately 1:00am, Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Line Road in southern Scott County for a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.  Upon arrival at the residence, Deputy Zach Brown made contact with the complainant who advised a handgun was taken from his residence. Prior to the reported suspect leaving with the handgun, the complainant advised the suspect, identified as Hunter Anthony Coomer, 18 of Seymour Indiana pointed the handgun at him. After taking the complainant's statement, Deputy Brown met with First Sergeant Charlie Morgan and several Scottsburg City Police Officers who had located Hunter Anthony Coomer and three (3) other juveniles after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle matching a description provided by the Scott Central Dispatch Center. After securing Coomer and the three juveniles, officers on scene located four (4) loaded handguns in the vehicle to include the handgun taken during the initial robbery-theft complaint. Also located was suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills, all in the possession of a juvenile offender. Deputies transported Hunter Anthony Coomer to the Scott County Jail where he was booked and subsequently incarcerated.  The three juveniles were transported by Scott County Sheriff Jail Deputies to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center where they were remanded to custody.

  •     Hunter Anthony Coomer was charged with Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery- Armed, Possession of a Handgun without a License and Criminal Recklessness-While Armed with a Deadly Weapon.
  •     Juvenile #1 (17 years old) was charged with Possession of a Handgun without a License and Theft.
  •     Juvenile #2 (17 years old) was charged with Possession of a Handgun without a License and Theft.
  •     Juvenile #3 (14 years old) was charged with Possession of a Handgun without a License, Theft, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

On April 18th, Deputies arrested Mark Bowling, 32 of Scottsburg IN on a Warrant for Failure to Appear for Theft- Property is a Firearm, Failure to Appear for Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Failure to Appear for Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.

On April 20th, Deputies arrested Daniel Hardin, 37 of Scottsburg IN for a Warrant issued by Switzerland County, IN Authorities.
