BURGLARY INVESTIGATION SOLVED and ARRESTS MADE

Deputies Continue to Send Message "Do Not Commit Crime in Scott County"

Scott County-On 4-14-2022, Deputies of the Scott County Sheriff's Office executed search warrants and made several arrest after an investigation into a local burglary led the officers to the suspected culprits. Detective Lieutenant John Hartman began the investigation in March 2022 after a local resident reported their home had been burglarized.  Numerous property items were taken in the burglary and after exhausting the numerous leads developed during the investigation, Detective Hartman secured search warrants for properties in Austin and Lexington, both locations in Scott County.  During the execution of the search warrants, multiple items taken during the burglary were recovered to include jewelry and guns.  Also located during the search warrant execution were illegal drugs and paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene of one of the search warrants was Chris Tharp, 36 of Lexington, IN, Jillian Watson, 38 of Salem, IN and Ryan McGlothlin, 36 of Charlestown, IN.  Sheriff Goodin stated the following..."If you commit a crime in Scott County, we will do everything possible to bring you to justice...our citizens deserve nothing less than our best effort.  I am proud of my team who everyday work diligently with the county citizens at making our community safer...together, we are making a difference"!

•    Ryan McGlothlin was charged with IC 35-48-4-13(A)MB ~ Visiting a Common Nuisance IC 35-48-4-6.1(A)FL6 ~ Possession of Methamphetamine IC 16-42-19-18(FL6) ~ Unlawful Possession of a Syringe
