WORK SCHEDULE:   Varies / 24 Hour Public Service Operation

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

                              Must be at least 21 years of age; Must have high school education or GED, and be able to complete training as needed; Possession of a valid Indiana Driver's License and clear driving record with Indiana BMV.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS:        

Candidates can obtain a Scott County Employment Application from the Scott County Auditor's Office beginning Monday, April 11, 2022  between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (M-F).  The Application must be submitted to the Auditor's Office by 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 12, 2022.

 

 

 The testing location is Scottsburg Middle School, located at 425 S 3rd Street, Scottsburg, IN 47170. Applicants will be expected to come to the East side of the building where the front entrance is located and go to the double doors to the south of the main entrance which will be door 2 on the outside of the building. There the applicant(s) will be met by someone which will direct them the cafeteria to check in, and given further directions. Check in for the testing will be Saturday, May 14, 2022, begin at 8:30am, and the testing will 9am sharp. Any late arrivals will be disqualified from the process. The applicant will be given two (2) hours to complete the written test portion of the process (all testing supplies will be provided for the written test portion).

 

Physical agility testing will be conducted the same day after the written test is complete, will be the INDIANA LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY EXIT STANDARDS FOR GRADUATION, will be pass/fail, and the applicant can wear their workout clothes to the written test, if desired. All applicants should have their Driver's License available for proof of identification and will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability form to participate in the process.
