Scott County Sheriff Supports Deputies Working Together with or Supporting Other Public Safety Professions

Scott County-On 3-10-2022, Detective Lieutenant John Hartman dawned turnout gear as a Scottsburg City Fireman as he and Fire Chief James Richey conducted a safety presentation at the First Christian Church in Scottsburg. Lieutenant Hartman is not only a Sheriff's Deputy, he also serves the citizens of Scottsburg as a part-time firefighter, where he utilizes his years of fire service training toward providing additional protection to Scott County residents. Sheriff's Deputies are encouraged to get involved with their community any way they can...this is an example of exactly that. Sheriff Goodin advised the following..."I am extremely pleased to see Lieutenant Hartman and other Deputies expand their individual potential by being the best they can be.  This is an example of the talent possessed by your Scott County Deputies, which I am very pleased to share with you...public service is a calling and the men and women of the Scott County Sheriff's Office work diligently answering that call, whatever it may be".
