Wanted Subject Arrested by Sheriff's Deputies after Foot Pursuit

(and other arrest)

Scott County-On January 23rd at approximately 11:00pm, Deputy Kasey Reschar and First Sergeant Johnney Coomer attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Lynhurst Street in Scottsburg.  Upon arrival at the residence and announcing their presence, the wanted subject identified as James Rubey, 51, of Scottsburg fled out of the back of the home.  Deputy Reschar was able to capture Rubey after a short foot chase through neighborhood yards.  Furthermore, Rubey fought with Deputies while they attempted to place him under arrest, resulting in a minor injury to Deputy Reschar.  Rubey was transported to the Scott County Jail for processing and subsequent incarceration relating to the following charges;

Wanted on Warrant for Failure to Appear (5 counts)

Resisting Law Enforcement

Battery - Resulting in Injury to a Public Safety Officer (2 counts)

Disorderly Conduct

On January 20th, Deputies arrested Thomas Harris, 47 of Scottsburg for Criminal Trespass.

On January 21st, Deputies arrested Michael Cox, 47 of Scottsburg for Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated - Endangering a Person, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a BAC greater than .08.

Additionally, Deputies arrested Emeleen Ardos, 33 of Pohnpei on previous charges of Neglect of a Dependent, Battery-Person less than 14 Committed by person at least 18, and Operator Never Licensed.

On January 22nd at approximately 11:00pm, Deputies arrested Zachary Karlin, 30 of Crown Point, Indiana on an Out of County Arrest Warrant.

On January 23rd at approximately 4:40am, Deputies arrested Donavan Brinley, 26, of Scottsburg for Operating while Intoxicated.
