Scott County Sheriff's Deputies recent Arrests

Scott County Sheriff's Deputies make Arrest for Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

(12 others Arrested for Drugs and other Crimes)

Scott County-On 1 January at approximately 1:20pm, Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence in Scott County for a domestic situation involving a male subject with a firearm. Upon arrival, Deputies Skylar Thompson and Andy Brown approached the residence and announced their presence, resulting in the male subject barricading himself inside with two females trying to escape. The barricaded male was later identified as Gary Spicer, 61, of Scottsburg, a co-occupant of the residence with the two females. The two females were both able to escape the residence safely and Spicer was eventually arrested upon exiting the home and surrendering to Deputies. A search of the residence was conducted, revealing a handgun and an alleged improvised explosive device, (IED).

             Gary Spicer was arrested for the following charges; Criminal Recklessness-Armed with a Deadly Weapon, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Intimidation with Deadly Weapon.  NOTE: Neither female involved was arrested or charged.

On December 28, 2021, Wanda Deaton, 61 of Scottsburg, Indiana was arrested on warrants for Public Intoxication, Possession of Methamphetamine, Criminal Trespass, and Operating a Vehicle after Lifetime Suspension.

Theodore O'Brien, 38, Jeffersonville, Indiana was arrest on a warrant for Battery.

On 31 December, 2021, Benjamin Bowling, 39 of Salem, Indiana was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Visiting a Common Nuisance, Burglary, Auto Theft, and Theft - greater than $750.

Michael Weston, 48 of Scottsburg, Indiana was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Driving while Suspended (Prior), Possession of Controlled Substance, Burglary, Auto Theft, and Theft- greater than $750.

Paul Fujibayashi, 41 of Scottsburg, Indiana was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Operating While Intoxicated- Endangerment, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Law Enforcement.

On January 1, 2022, Nicholas Curtsinger, 32 of Louisville, Kentucky was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

Ronald Smith, 21 of Scottsburg, Indiana was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

On January 2, 2022, Cindy Allman, 42 of Jeffersonville, Indiana was arrested for Battery.

On January 3, 2022, Bradley Roberts, 42 of Batesville, Indiana was arrested on a warrant for Sexual Misconduct with a Minor and Sexual Battery.

Michael Smith, 52 of Lexington, IN was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Escape.

Trista Broadus, 28 of Lexington, IN was arrested for Possession of Cocaine or Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug - At Least 5 LT 10 Grams, Neglect of a Dependent (2 counts), and Escape.

Ronald Stoner, 53 of Scottsburg, IN was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Resisting Law Enforcement, Driving while Suspended (Prior), and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
