Detective Jacklyn Shofner Nominated by Children's Advocacy Center

 

Scott-Detective Jacklyn Shofner has been nominated by the Children's Advocacy Center of Southeastern Indiana as a Queen candidate for their Mardi Gras fundraiser event.  The Scott County Sheriff's Office utilizes this nonprofit organization for children who are believed to witness a crime, be a victim of assault or abuse, or who are sexually abused come to a Child Advocacy Center (CAC). They arrive by referral from law enforcement, a prosecutor's office, or a Department of Child Services caseworker.

Detective Shofner works Crimes against Children and Sex Crimes cases for the Scott County Sheriff's Office. Additionally, she works closely with the Department of Child Services and the Children's Advocacy Center to ensure the safety and minimize the trauma suffered by victims of child abuse and sexual abuse.
