Immediate Release: 

 

Investigation of a Child Solicitation Case Leads to an Arrest

Multiple other recent arrests made by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

 

Scott-On July 11, 2021, Detective Jacklyn Shofner began an investigation in reference to child solicitation.  On August 18, 2021, Lance Jacobs, age 38, of Bedford Indiana, was arrested by Bedford Police Department as a courtesy on a Scott County arrest warrant for Jacobs.  He was then transported to the Scott County Jail.

On August 20, 2021, Major Joe Guarneri arrested Daniel Wiesman, age 37, of Crothersville, Indiana.  This is an arrest from a Scottsburg Police Department investigation.  Wiesman was arrested for Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Battery, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

On August 25, 2021, Kelsey Ferrell, age 30, of Scottsburg was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant.  Ferrell warrant was for Possession of Methamphetamine.  She was transported from Jackson County Jail to Scott County Jail.

On August 28, 2021, Deputy Chris Bowling responded to a residence in reference to a battery.  Further investigation lead to the arrest of Roger Cole, age 25, of Lexington, Indiana.  Cole was arrested for Domestic Battery (Committed in the Presence of a Child Less Than 16 Years), Interference with Reporting a Crime, and Strangulation.  Cole was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On August 28, 2021, Reserve Deputy Jamie Royce responded to a residence in reference to an unwanted subject on his property.  Deputy Royce made contact with Tiffany Paiz, age 38, of Lexington, Indiana.  Paiz was warned to stay off the property.  She later trespassed back onto the homeowner's property again.  Paiz was arrested for Criminal Trespassing and transported to the Scott County Jail.

On August 29, 2021, First Sergeant Charlie Morgan responded to a residence on an unknown problem.  Upon arrival, Sergeant Morgan made contact with Ruby Howard, age 58, of Scottsburg.  Howard's behavior was erratic and further investigation led to her arrest.  Howard was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On August 29, 2021, First Sergeant Charlie Morgan and Deputy Zach Brown responded to a residence in reference to domestic violence.  Upon arrival, they made contact with Bryan Roberts, age 34, of Scottsburg.  Further investigation led to the arrest of Roberts for Domestic Battery.  He was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On August 31, 2021, First Sergeant Johnney Coomer had knowledge of an outstanding warrant on Jeremy Snell, age 38, of Underwood.  Sergeant Coomer made contact with Snell at his residence and was arrested on an active warrant for Failure to Appear.  He was transported back to the Scott County Jail.

On August 31, 2021, Sergeant Johnney Coomer had knowledge of an active warrant for Barbara McIntosh, age 45, of Scottsburg.  McIntosh was arrested on the active arrest warrant for Theft- Greater than $750 - $50,000.
