Recent Arrest by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

Scott County-On August 13, 2021, Deputy Kacey Reschar conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Crystal Righthouse, 43, of Seymour, IN, for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Obstruction of Justice.

On August 14, 2021, Deputies Zach Brown and Eric Balingit responded to a residence in rural Scott County in reference to the report of a disturbance.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of James Stacy, 45, of Scottsburg for Domestic Battery, Strangulation and Resisting Law Enforcement.

On August 15, 2021, Deputies Zach Brown and Eric Balingit responded to a local business in rural Scott County for the report of a person possibly in need of medical assistance.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Kenneth Mobley, 36, of Otisco, IN, for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On August 16, 2021, Deputies Zach Brown and Eric Balingit responded to a residence in Austin for a disturbance.  While en route deputies were provided with a description of a vehicle that had left the residence they were responding to. 

Deputy Brown quickly located the alleged vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.  The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and led deputies on a short pursuit.  The driver of the vehicle, Steven Sebastian, 36, of Austin was taken into custody and arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement Using a Vehicle and Reckless Driving.
