Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

Scott County-On May 4, 2021, Deputy Zach Brown went to an address in rural Scott County in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant.  Upon arrival Jerry Barrett, 57, of Scottsburg was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Escape and nine counts of Theft.

On May 5, 2021, Deputy William Morris and Corporal Charlie Morgan conducted a traffic stop in Scottsburg.  An investigation led to the arrest of Rodney Wilson, 59, of Scottsburg for Operating a Vehicle Endangering a Person, Operating a Vehicle While intoxicated With a Prior, Operating With a B.A.C. of 08 or More and Operating a Vehicle With a B.A.C. of .15 or More.

On May 5, 2021, Major Joe Guarneri, Captain Shawn Mayer and First Sergeant John Hartman responded to an address in Lexington, IN, for a welfare check.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of three people for multiple charges. 

Abagail Jackson, 35, of Lexington was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Chile Abuse/Neglect, Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance. 

Jason Cole, 39, of Lexington was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance and Visiting a Common Nuisance. 

Sherri Cole, 61, of Lexington was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Neglect of a Dependent and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On May 6, 2021, Corporal Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Sasha Powers, 37, of Underwood, IN, for Driving While Suspended Prior, Carrying a Handgun Without a License With a Prior Conviction and Possession of Paraphernalia.
