More Arrests Made by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

 

Scott-On April 12, 2021, Corporal Johnney Coomer responded to the area of Goshen Road on a vehicle occupied by a female who appeared to be unconscious.  Upon arrival, Corporal Coomer made contact with driver, identified as Kelly Jones, 34, of Henryville.  Jones was evaluated by EMS.  Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Jones for Possession of Marijuana/Hash Oil/Hashish or Salvia, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule I,II, III, or IV Controlled Substance, Visiting a Common Nuisance, and Public Intoxication.  Jones was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On April 13, 2021, Corporal Johnney Coomer initiated a traffic stop on Highway 31 in Austin.  Corporal Coomer made contact with the driver, identified as Charles Blankenbaker, 38, of Austin.  Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Blankenbaker.  He was charged with Driving While Suspended, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  Blankenbaker was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On April 13, 2021, Corporal Johnney Coomer initiated a traffic stop in Austin.  Corporal Coomer made contact with the driver, identified as Russell Henson, 47, of Austin.  An investigation led to the arrest of Henson.  He was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana/Hash Oil/Hashish or Salvia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Henson was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On April 13, 2021, Corporal Johnney Coomer initiated a traffic stop in Scottsburg.  Corporal Coomer made contact with George Boyle, 38, of Scottsburg.  Further investigation led to the arrest of Boyle for Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.  He was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On March 18, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted an investigation involving a missing minor and custodial interference.  Throughout the course of the investigation, multiple agencies assisted in locating the minor, including the Department of Child Services, ATF, and US Marshal's Service.  On April 13, 2021, Bettina Napier, 50, Lexington, was arrested.  The minor child was located and is safe.  Napier had an active warrant for her arrest for Interference of Custody-Violation of a Court Order.  She was taken into custody and booked in at the Scott County Jail.

On April 13, 2021, Travis Pate, 29, of Austin, surrendered himself to the Scott County Sheriff's Office.  Pate had an active warrant for Escape-Flees from Lawful Detention.  He was taken into custody and booked at the Scott County Jail.

On April 15, 2021, Corporal James Ward initiated a traffic stop near Lake Road.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Eric Corn, 29, of Anderson, Indiana.  Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Corn.  He was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Schedule I,II,III, or IV Controlled Substance, and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person.  Corn was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On April 15, 2021, Corporal Charlie Morgan and Deputy Wlliam Morris took custody of Brandon Ulrey, 29, of New Albany, from the Floyd County Sheriff's Office.  Ulrey had an outstanding bench warrant.  He was transported to the Scott County Jail.

On April 15, 2021, Cody Manvilla, 30, of North Vernon, was transported to the Scott County Jail from Jennings County on an outstanding warrant for Driving While Suspended.
