Holidays are not Rest Days for Deputies

Scott County-On April 2, 2021, Deputy Zach Brown responded to a suspicious person call in Austin at a local business.  An investigation led to the arrest of Brian Cruz, 31, of Woodridge, ID, for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug At Least 5 Grams but Less Than 10 Grams, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On April 3, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman and Deputy Josh Juliot responded to an address in rural Scott County for a disturbance.  An investigation led to the arrest of Jason Vest, 23, of Scottsburg for Battery.

On April 3, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman and Deputy Josh Juliot responded to a location in rural Scott County for an unconscious male.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of James Smith30, of Depaw, IN, for an out of county arrest warrant.

On April 3, 2021, Deputy Skylar Thompson and Corporal Johnney Coomer received a report of a suspicious male walking in Scottsburg.  After locating the alleged suspect an investigation led to the arrest of Matthew Blaze, 40, of Scottsburg for an out of county arrest warrant and received an additional charge of False Informing.

On April 5, 2021, Corporal Johnney Coomer and Deputy Skylar Thompson conducted a traffic in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of David Flaminio, 48, of Lexington, IN, for Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended Prior.
