Scott County is now under Level Orange Travel Status (Watch)

Scott County-The Board of County Commissioners has declared Scott County in a Level Orange Travel Status, (Watch).

This orange status means that conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During an Orange Alert or "watch," a local travel advisory is in effect, only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies and other organizations.

***Any further updates will be posted here on the Scott County Sheriff's website and Facebook page.***  Anyone with an emergency should dial 911.

Scott County Sheriff, Jerry Goodin, asks that all citizens obey the advisory. He also stated citizens should listen to local radio stations and watch television news for the latest updates on weather and roadway changes. Being prepared and aware of what is happening around you is the key to being safe in winter weather.
