Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

Scott County-On December 27, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer checked a suspicious vehicle and person at a local business in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Walker Johnson, 56, of Deputy, IN, for an out of County arrest warrant and received additional charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Handgun Without a License and Visiting a Common Nuisance. 

 

On December 28, 2020, Corporal James Ward served an outstanding arrest warrant at the Scott County Jail.  David Sizemore, 24, of Austin was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant for Invasion of Privacy. 

 

On December 29, 2020, Corporal Charlie Morgan conducted a traffic stop in Scottsburg.  An investigation led to the arrest of Berarton Long, 27, of Scottsburg for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession or Use of a Legend Drug, Identity Deception, Operator Never Licensed, False Informing, Obstruction of Justice and two counts of Trafficking with an Inmate. 

 

On December 29, 2020, Deputy Rick Barrett served an outstanding arrest warrant at the Scott County Jail.  Ronald Boyt, 39, of Austin was arrested for an outstanding warrant for Dealing in a Narcotic Drug.
