Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office
Scott County-On December 21, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer and Deputies John Smith and Skylar Thompson went to an address in rural Scott County in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant. Upon arrival Nathan Penny, 38, of Scottsburg was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Domestic Battery and Strangulation.
On December 21, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer made contact with the Seymour Police Department requesting their assistance locating a male that had an arrest warrant that was located in their city. Shortly thereafter Corporal Coomer met with a Seymour Police Officer who had located the male. Christopher Tucker, 35, of Seymour, IN, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Escape-Flees from Lawful Detention and remanded to the Scott County Jail.
On December 22, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in Scottsburg. An investigation led to the arrest of two people on drug related charges. Richard Cooper, 47, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Operator Never Licensed and Possession of Paraphernalia. Susan Bland, 39, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
On December 23, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer and Deputy Skylar Thompson responded to an accident in rural Scott County. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Lige Collins, 45, of Scottsburg for Public Intoxication.
On December 23, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer served an outstanding arrest warrant at the Scott County Jail. Amanda Glover, 37, of Freetown, IN, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Intimidation.
