Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

Scott County-On December 1, 2020, Deputy Chris Bowling responded to a vandalism report in Austin.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Lindsey Dumas, 38, of Borden, IN, for Invasion of Privacy.

On December 2, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Michael Chilton, 52, of Seymour, In, for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia and Driving While Suspended Prior.

On December 3, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman and deputies with the Scott County Sheriff's Office went to an address in rural Scott County to assist the Fortville, Indiana Police Department in locating a male that was wanted for questioning in a theft.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Ben Gill, 43, of Indianapolis, In, for an outstanding Parole Warrant.

On December 3, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in Scottsburg.  An investigation led to the arrest of Curtis Eldridge, 46, of Austin for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Driving While Suspended Prior.

On December 6, 2020, Corporal Charlie Morgan and Deputy Chris Bowling responded to disturbance in Austin.  An investigation led to the arrest of two people.  Robert Mcfarlin, 35, of Austin for Domestic Battery, Strangulation, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Donna Ruth, 42, of Austin was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear.
