Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office
Scott County-On November 4, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in Lexington. An investigation led to the arrest of Dillon Webster, 23, of Austin for Driving While Suspended Prior and Reckless Driving.
On November 4, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman observed a suspicious vehicle at a residence in rural Scott County. After observing the vehicle he was called away and had to leave the area. Shortly thereafter the homeowner arrived home and the vehicle left the residence and the area. After the homeowner checked his garage he noticed several items missing. First Sergeant Hartman conducted an investigation and located the suspect and the stolen property in Austin. As a result, Corey Smith, 27, of Underwood, IN. was arrested for Possession of a Handgun without a License, Theft Less than $750, Driving While Suspended Prior and Possession of Methamphetamine.
On November 5, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of John Hardin, 58, of Lexington for Unlawful Possession or Use of a Legend or Precursor, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Legend Drug Possession.
On November 5, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman, Corporal Johnney Coomer, Deputy Skylar Thompson, and Deputy Zach Brown responded to a residence in Austin, Indiana. They made contact with Jessie Broadus, age 27, of Austin. Broadus was arrested for WRIT OF ATTACHMENT and transported to the Scott County Jail.
On November 5, 2020, Deputy Skylar Thompson responded to a domestic complaint at a residence in Scottsburg. Upon arrival, Deputy Thompson made contact with Jennifer Willes, age 43, of Scottsburg. Further investigation, led to the arrest of Willes for DOMESTIC BATTERY - COMMITTED IN PRESENCE OF CHILD LESS THAN 16 YEARS. Willes was transported to the Scott County Jail.
