Busy Halloween Weekend for Scott County Sheriff's Office
Scott-On October 30, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman observed suspicious activity on Zion Road. F/Sgt. Hartman made contact with driver, Dallas Knight, age 25, of Bedford, Indiana. Knight was arrested and charged with POSSESSION OR USE OF LEGEND DRUG, MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, HASH OIL, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA. Knight was transported to the Scott County Jail.
On October 31, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman responded to Mariann's Hotel. He made contact with John Fear, age 48, of Arnold, MO. Further investigation led to the arrest of Fear. He was charged with MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF SYRINGE, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA. Fear was transported to the Scott County Jail.
On October 31, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman, Deputy Balingit and Officer Cody Kelly of the Austin Police Department made contact with Heather McIntosh , age 30, of Austin for an outstanding warrant. McIntosh was taken into custody and transported to the Scott County Jail. McIntosh's warrant was for DEALING SCHEDULE I, II, III CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE.
On November 1, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer, Deputy Skylar Thompson, and Detective Jacklyn Shofner, responded to shots fired at a residence in Lexington, Indiana. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with homeowner, James Blevins Jr., age 43, Lexington, Indiana. Further investigation led to the arrest of Blevins for 4 counts of INTIMIDATION - DEADLY WEAPON and 4 counts of CRIMINAL RECKLESSNESS - WHILE ARMED WITH A DEADLY WEAPON. Blevins was transported to the Scott County Jail.
On November 2, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer, Deputy Skylar Thompson, and Detective Jacklyn Shofner, responded to a call of shots fired in Blocher. Upon arrival to the residence, deputies made contact with Christopher Tharp, age 34, of Lexington, Indiana. Further investigation led to the arrest of Tharp for DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED (SUSP/PRIOR) and INTIMIDATION. Tharp was transported to the Scott County Jail.
On November 2, 2020, Scott Paul, age 30, of Madison was arrested for FAILURE TO APPEAR.
On November 3, 2020, Adam Stamper, age 35, of Levenworth Indiana, was arrested for an OUT OF COUNTY WARRANT.
