Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office
Scott County-On October 20, 2020, Corporal Charlie Morgan assisted the Washington County Sheriff's Office with the recovery of a stolen vehicle that had been reported as stolen in Scott County. As a result of an investigation Jerry Mcclintock, 49, of Scottsburg was arrested for Auto Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. Mcclintock was remanded to the Scott County Jail.
On September 18, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman began an investigation for criminal confinement, auto theft and theft. The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued with the assistance of the Scott County Prosecutor's Office. On October 21, 2020, First Sergeant Hartman met with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office who had ultimately picked up the suspect, Anthony Brock, 19, of North Vernon, IN on the outstanding arrest warrant. Anthony Brock was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant for Criminal Confinement, Auto Theft and Theft Less than $750 and remanded to the Scott County Jail.
On October 22, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer responded to a local business for a check of a male that was reported as passed out or asleep inside of a vehicle. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Lonnie Jewell, 54, of Scottsburg for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Marijuana.
On October 22, 2020, Corporal Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of James Kennedy, 43, of Henryville, IN, for Possession of a Handgun without a License.
On October 22, 2020, Deputy Skylar Thompson and Corporal Johnney Coomer responded to a report of a suspicious male in rural Scott County. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Brandon Allen, 31, of Scottsburg for Public Intoxication.
