Busy Weekend of Arrests for Scott County Sheriff's Office

 

Scott-On July 10, 2020, Major Joe Guarneri, Deputy Zach Brown, and Indiana State Trooper Jon Cain responded to a call of suspicious activity. Major Guarneri made contact with the driver of a vehicle, identified as Jerry Hunter, age 34, Wyoming, Michigan. An investigation was conducted and Hunter was arrested on charges of POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, AUTO THEFT, MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, FALSE INFORMING, OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, and OUT OF COUNTY WARRANT. Hunter was transported to the Scott County Jail.

 

 

On July 10, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman, Deputy Zach Brown, and Deputy Jessica Dickey responded to Dollar General in Lexington on a female asleep in a vehicle. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Billie Cutshall, age 39, Nabb, Indiana. Cutshall was arrested for POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION OR USE OF LEGEND DRUG, POSSESSION SCHEDULE I, II, III, OR IV CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA. Cutshall was transported to the Scott County Jail.

 

 

On July 11, 2020, First Sergeant John Hartman and Scottsburg Lt. Joe Nicholson responded to a disturbance at a residence in Scottsburg, Indiana. Upon arrival, F/Sergeant Hartman made contact with a female identified as Matreva Marcum, age 41, Scottsburg and a male identified as Garland Bowman, age 56, Crothersville, Indiana. An investigation was conducted. Bowman was arrested for UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF SYRINGE(PRIOR), POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION SCHEDULE I, II, III, OR IV CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA .

Marcum was arrested on the following charges, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF SYRINGE(PRIOR), MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, POSSESSION SCHEDULE I, II, III, OR IV CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, and   POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA.

 

   

 

On July 12, 2020, James Leatherbury, age 29, New Albany was arrested for FAILURE TO APPEAR. He was transported to the Scott County Jail.

 

On July 12, 2020, Deputy Zach Brown and Deputy Jessica Dickey responded to a disturbance on Shea Road. Upon arrival, they made contact with a female identified as Stephanie Stegall, age 43, of Lexington. An investigation was conducted and Stegall was arrested for BATTERY and BATTERY- RESULTS IN BODILY INJURY TO ANOTHER PERSON. Stegall was transported to the Scott County Jail.
