Search Warrant leads to the Arrest of Six people

Scott County-On July 1, 2020, at approximately 6:00 AM, deputies and detectives with the Scott County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at 111 Rice Street in Austin.  The search warrant stemmed from an ongoing investigation that was conducted by deputies, detectives and city officers.  Over the last several months deputies and officers had responded to the residence over 30 times. These calls ranged from thefts, domestics to overdoses and Scott County Sheriff's Detectives made undercover buys out of the home. The home was being used as a flop house with bedrooms being numbered and rented by the week. At the conclusion of the search warrant six people were arrested with two of the people arrested being released on their own recognizance.  Due to jail restrictions on Misdemeanor and low level Felony Arrests because of the Corona Virus/Covid-19, two people were released on their own recognizance.
