Recent Arrests By The Scott County Sheriff's Office
Scott County-On March 17, 2020, Deputy Charlie Morgan responded to a medical emergency on Terry Road in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of Kaylie Mullins, 21, of Austin for Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and Escape, Flees from Lawful Detention.
On April 18, 2020, Deputies Johnney Coomer and Skylar Thompson responded to a medical emergency in Austin. An investigation led to the arrest of Lorria Winchester, 47, of Austin for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug At Least 5 Grams but less than 10 Grams, Resisting Law Enforcement and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
On April 19, 2020, Deputy John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of William Prostler, 41, of Scottsburg for Reckless Driving and Resisting Law Enforcement Using a Motor Vehicle.
On April 19, 2020, Deputy Johnney Coomer assisted the Austin police Department with a call of a male who had allegedly violated his home detention. An investigation led to the arrest Jake Hall, 27, of Jeffersonville, IN., for Escape.
