Recent Arrests By The Scott County Sheriff's Office
Scott County-On December 17, 2019, Captain Joe Guarneri with the Scott County Sheriff's Office responded to a property damage accident in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of Gary Smith, 62, of Austin for Driving While Suspended Prior.
On December 18, 2019, Deputies Johnney Coomer and Kenton Makowsky responded to an address on Prewitt Lane for a possible trespasser. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Richard Hickman, 52, of Scottsburg for Criminal Trespass, Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe.
On December 18, 2019, Deputy Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in northern rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of Amanda Andres, 27, of Dupont, In. for Driving While Suspended Prior.
On December 19, 2019, Deputy Kenton Makowsky responded to a local business in Scottsburg in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of June Sharp, 31, of Scottsburg for an out of county warrant.
On December 19, 2019, Deputy Kenton Makowsky conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County. An investigation led to the arrest of two people for drug related charges. Eric Benge, 37, of Vallonia, In. was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Carrying a Handgun Without a Permit Prior Conviction or Convicted Felon and Carrying a Handgun Without a Permit. Brittany Hardin, 31 of Clarksville, In. was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Carrying a Handgun Without a Permit Prior Conviction or Convicted Felon and Carrying a Handgun Without a Permit.
