Recent Arrests by the Scott County Sheriff's Office

Scott County-On December 13, 2019, Deputy John Hartman with the Scott County Sheriff's Office served an outstanding arrest warrant at the Scott County Jail.  Randy Taflinger, 52, of Nabb was arrested on a warrant for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating a Vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more. 

 

On December 13, 2019, Deputy Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in Austin.  An investigation led to the arrest of Antolin Mendez, 39, of Austin for Operator Never Licensed. 

 

On December 13, 2019, Deputy Johnney Coomer responded to a property damage accident in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Jeremy Howard, 35, of Hanover for Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance. 

 

On December 14, 2019, Deputy Johnney Coomer and Reserve Deputies Nate Love and Todd Hooker responded to a disturbance call in northern Scott County.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Johnny Hughes, 54, of Scottsburg for Escape Flees From Lawful Detention, and Resisting Law Enforcement.
