Internet Advertisement leads to Drug Dealing and Child Neglect Arrests and Other Weekend Arrests   

Scott County- Deputies from the Scott County Sheriff's Office were made aware of a male subject advertising to sell drugs on the internet to people in Scott County. Deputy Joe Baker responded to the ad and made arrangements to meet the drug dealer and make a purchase. Deputy Baker went to the arranged location in Scottsburg and when the dealer showed up, he was placed under arrest. The dealer also brought two other individuals with him and a small child. Deputy Baker completed his investigation by arresting a total of three individuals for drug related charges and neglect charges. 

Darnell McGee, 32, of Scottsburg was arrested for Dealing in Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Neglect of a Dependent and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Cynthia Owens, 28, of Scottsburg was arrested for Dealing in Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Neglect of a Dependent and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Trenton Ragland, 18, of Scottsburg was arrested for Visiting a Common Nuisance.

 On November 1, 2019, Captain Joe Guarneri received information on the whereabouts of a male with an outstanding warrant.  Captain Guarneri traveled to a business in Scottsburg where he made contact with the male identified as Dylan Stidham, 27, of Austin and he was arrested on two outstanding warrants for Failure to Comply and Escape, Flees from Lawful Detention.

On November 3, 2019, Deputy Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in Scottsburg.  An investigation led to the arrest of Larry Westmoreland, 22, of Scottsburg for Driving While Suspended Prior.
