Scott County Sheriff's Office Makes More Arrests

Scott-On October 29, 2019, Deputy John Smith conducted a traffic stop. Deputy Smith identified the passenger to be Gary McAllister, age 45, of Scottsburg. Detective Paul Clute and Austin Police Department Officer Scotty McCoskey came to assist. Narcotics K9 officer Diablo searched around the vehicle and indicated on the driver side door for narcotics. McAllister began acting suspicious and a search revealed drug paraphernalia on his person. McAllister was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. McAllister was charged with POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA.

On October 29, 2019, Deputies Johnney Coomer, Kenton Makowsky, and Reserve Deputies Cory Hulsizer and William Morris arrived at a residence in Lexington, Indiana to serve an outstanding warrant. Deputies made contact with Timothy Boman, age 33, of Lexington. Boman was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Boman was charged with INTIMIDATION.

On October 29, 2019, Deputy John Smith responded to a residence in Austin in reference to a male subject claiming people were in his house and would not leave. Upon arrival, a male subject identified as Richard Smith, age 59, of Austin, came out of the residence with a shotgun. Deputy Smith disarmed Richard Smith. Further investigation revealed, Richard Smith had shot through the doorway of his residence prior to Deputy Smith's arrival. A search of the residence did not reveal other individuals. However, drug paraphernalia was located in the residence. Richard Smith was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Richard Smith was charged with POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, CRIMINAL RECKLESSNESS - ARMED WITH DEADLY WEAPON, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA.

On October 30, 2019 Reserve Deputy Hulsizer conducted a traffic stop in Blocher. Reserve Deputy Hulsizer made contact with driver, Chandler Whitsitt, age 19, of Lexington, and passenger, Bethany Dilger, age 18, of Scottsburg. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and paraphernalia. Dilger stated it belonged to both of them.   Whitsitt and Dilger was arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail. Whitsitt was charged with MAINTAINING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA. Dilger was charged with VISITING A COMMON NUISANCE, POSSESSION MARIJUANA/HASH OIL/HASHISH OR SALVIA, and POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA.
