Continuing to Make Scott County Safer, Five More Arrested over the Weekend
Scott County-On October 4, 2019, Deputy Joe Baker with the Scott County Sheriff's office completed an investigation that he began in August of 2019 for the illegal possession of narcotics. During this investigation Jeremiah Rayborn, 42, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession or Use of a Legend Drug, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia. Deputy Baker was assisted by Deputy James Ward and Reserve Deputy Tim Hall. Justin Chitwood, 33, of Jeffersonville, was also arrested for an Outstanding Warrant through Scott County and also Harrison County.
On October 4, 2019, Deputy Johnney Coomer with the Scott County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on south State Road 3 for speeding. An investigation led to the arrest of Ricardo Martinez, 27, of Scottsburg for Operator Never Licensed.
On September 5, 2019, Deputies Kenton Makowsy and John Smith with the Scott County Sheriff's Office responded to an address on Leota Road for a disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of Stephanie Rosegotter, 43, of Jeffersonville for Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia.
On October 6, 2019, Deputies Johnney Coomer and Keith Hartman with the Scott County Sheriff's Office went to an address on Whitsitt Road in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant. Upon arrival Shawn Mayhew, 40, of Austin was arrested for an outstanding warrant through Jackson County Indiana.
