Weekend Arrests Keep Deputies Busy

Scott County-On February 25, 2019, a deputy with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office was assisting the Scottsburg City Police Department on an investigation. While assisting Scottsburg with the investigation the Deputy recognized a vehicle and believed it to be a vehicle involved in the investigation. As the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled. While pursuing the vehicle it crashed on Brownstown Road in Clark County. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel E. Blevins, 32 of Scottsburg, was taken into custody. He was later transported to the Scott County Jail where he was charged with the following charges.

On February 22, 2019, a deputy with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop near US 31 and Frame Street, (Scottsburg). After an investigation was conducted the driver identified as Kristopher E. Akers, 18 of Columbus Indiana was taken into custody and charged with the following charges.

On February 23, 2019 a Deputy with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office stopped a bicycle at the intersection of Mann Avenue and Factory Drive, (Austin). After an investigation was conducted, Jeffrey W. Vest, 28, of Scottsburg, was arrested for the following charges.
