Over the past few days the Scott County Sheriff’s Office has continued the progress…making more drug arrests

Scott County-On February 17, 2019 Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to 331 Muriel Drive in Scottsburg in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant. After entering the residence, a deputy radioed that a female was attempting to exit the rear of the residence by window. The female identified as Tiffany Stidham, 22, of Scottsburg was quickly apprehended. Deputies then located a male that was identified as Anthony Fortner, putting items into a closet. After completing the investigation Anthony Fortner, 47, of Scottsburg, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe with a (prior offense), Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Tiffany Stidham was arrested for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance, Obstruction of Justice and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

On February 18, 2019 Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office acted on a tip and a traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver identified as Shae Henson, 21, of Lexington. During the traffic stop approximately 10 grams of Marijuana and a large amount of counterfeit money was seized. After the investigation was complete, Shae Henson was arrested for Dealing in Marijuana within 500 feet of a school, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Counterfeiting.

Later that same evening Deputies traveled to an address where contact was made with Teresa Korte, 59, of Scottsburg. Deputies conducted a search of Teresa Korte’s residence where Marijuana was located. Teresa Korte was arrested for Dealing in Marijuana and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On February 18, 2019 Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to 126 N. Michael Drive Apartment # 6 In Scottsburg, Indiana in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant on Otis Bishop. Upon arrival they were greeted at the door by Otis Bishop, 36, of Scottsburg. As Deputies began taking Otis Bishop into custody he began throwing items that he had in his hands. Otis Bishop was taken into custody and a search of his person and the apartment were conducted. Once the investigation was complete Otis Bishop was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and the outstanding warrant for Possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV Controlled Substance.

On February 18, 2019 Deputies acted on a tip that was obtained by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies traveled to 637 S. Double or Nothing Road where contact was made with resident Christopher Mills. A search of the residence revealed over 300 grams of Marijuana and a large amount of Marijuana atomizers. Christopher Mills was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana a Class B Misdemeanor.

On February 17, 2019 the Scott County Sheriff’s Office received information of illegal drug activity on Rural Street in Austin, Indiana. This information was provided to the Indiana State Police and the Austin Police which led to the arrest of Elizabeth Hardcastle, 26, of Austin, Charley Young, 22, of Austin and Gilbert Sizemore, 40, of Austin for multiple drug charges.
