At approximately 6:04 a.m., Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to Highway 56, west of Moon Road, on a two vehicle traffic collision. One driver was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital with serious physical injuries. The driver and passenger of the other involved vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Highway 56 was reopened at approximately 11:11 a.m.

Scott County Sheriff’s Office will release an updated press release once all notifications to families of the individuals involved have been made.
