Drug Investigation

An ongoing investigation by the Scott County Sheriffs dept, and the Scottsburg Police Department, recently lead to a search warrant being obtained by Detective Paul Clute on April 4th, 2018 and then served on a residence in Scott County. This lead to the arrest of 8 individuals on multiple counts of dealing, and other drug possession charges. The nearly 2 month investigation led to narcotics detectives making controlled buys of narcotics from individuals, to include methamphetamine, and heroin from multiple subjects in Scott county. These individuals were reportedly being supplied by a male from the Louisville area who was also charged with dealing in methamphetamine, and heroin. Scott county sheriff’s department detective Paul Clute and narcotics detectives Steve herald, and Troy ford of the Scottsburg city police department headed up the investigation.
