03/16/2018

EASTER EGG HUNTS being sponsored by Sheriff’s Office.

The Scott County Sheriff's Office is making plans to host two Easter egg hunts on Saturday, March 24th. Each activity is designed for certain age groups and is free for children to enjoy.

Colorful plastic eggs filled with candy will be scattered around two parks. Some of those eggs will not only contain candy but also slips entitling the lucky finders to special prizes. The first hunt is scheduled at Community Park in Austin at 10 a.m. on March 24th. Children ages one to five years old can enjoy this hunt.

At 11:00 a.m., an egg hunt for children ages six to ten is planned at Beechwood Park in Scottsburg. Participants should report to the big shelterhouse in that park to start the hunt. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult and dress in weather-appropriate clothing.

The event may be cancelled if weather reports indicate rain or storms will occur.
