Scott County Sheriff's Office Inmates are Making a Difference in Their Community...Several Quits They Hand Made Have Been Presented to a Local Charity to Raise Funds for Cancer Research...Together, We Are Scott County Proud!

Scott County- On 9-12-2024, several quilts made by inmates at the Scott County Jail were presented to Steve and Missy Sadler, who graciously embody the local "Ride for a Cure Campaign" annually in Scott County. The quilts are made during a program for inmates, led by Deputy Jail Officer Kathy Burge, who secures the yarn, cloth, and other needed supplies through donations. These quilts will be auctioned later, with all proceeds going toward cancer research. Sheriff Goodin expressed his gratitude to the inmates for making these quilts so that others may have a chance at life... "I am proud of them for giving back to the community, and for making their time at the Scott County Jail productive...these quilts are a wonderful example of what people can do, when provided with encouragement and support".
