Scott County Sheriff's Deputies Locate and Arrest Ohio Bound Criminal After Crash-Residential Entry-Animal Torture-Stolen Truck.

Scott County- In early January, Scott County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a home on Weir Road in western Scott County for what was reported as a "residential entry".  Upon arrival at the home, the property owner was able to show deputies video of an unknown male walking inside and around the residence, but nothing was initially discovered missing or damaged. Further investigation by deputies resulted in the discovery of the property owner's pickup truck missing from the attached garage, allegedly taken by the unknown male intruder. Further investigation revealed video footage of the intruder "stomping on" the property owner's dog, who didn't appear to be aggressive toward the intruder. A thorough and lengthy investigation of the incident followed, where it was discovered a crash had occurred earlier in the day on Interstate 65, investigated by Indiana State Police, and the driver closely resembled the description of the intruder who broke into the Weir Road residence.  Additional video footage was obtained by Sheriff's Deputies as they continued to investigate, ultimately resulting in the intruder being located in Ohio behind the wheel of the stolen truck. The suspected intruder, identified as Christopher Allen Greenlee, 52, of Washington, Indiana was taken into custody by Ohio Authorities and the stolen truck was recovered and subsequently returned to its rightful owner. Greenlee was housed in the Hamilton County, Ohio Jail until he could be extradited to Indiana.

On February 12th, Greenlee was transported to and incarcerated at the Scott County Jail, where he remains.  Greenlee has been charged locally with Residential Entry, Auto Theft, Torturing or Mutilating an Animal, and Cruelty to an Animal.  Sheriff Goodin conveyed the following... "I have said it over and over, but I will say it again...If you come to Scott County and commit a crime against our citizens, get ready to spend time in the Scott County Jail. We will not rest until you are identified, apprehended, and returned to Scott County to face justice. I am extremely proud of our deputies who worked tirelessly on this case. They were Deputy Steve Frey, Deputy Cody Newsome, and Deputy Kyle West. I further wish to thank the Scott County Prosecutors Office and all the other agencies who assisted us in apprehending this criminal".
