In the "Spirit of Giving" - THANK YOU from the Scott County Sheriff's Office!

(Two (2) part News Release)

Scott County- Bree was and continues to be special in the hearts of those who knew her...recently, personnel from the Scott County Sheriff's Office led an effort toward providing a special basket to be auctioned during an annual fundraiser in support of pediatric cancer patients.  The non-profit charity known as "Bree's Blessings" is named after Scott County's very own Bree Brown, who passed away in June of 2018 from Ewing's Sarcoma, after a long and courageous battle. The basket, which was created with much love and care, will be auctioned  at a date to be determined by the event coordinators.

Part two (2) of the Release: On December 7th, the American Legion Post 9 of Madison, Indiana donated emergency blankets to the Scott County Sheriff's Office.  The blankets will be issued to deputies to have in their patrol vehicles...when a citizen is discovered needing a blanket to stay warm, your Scott County Deputies will be equipped to immediately provide one to a person in need. A special "thank you" to the men and women of the American Legion Post 9 on behalf of the future recipients of the blankets and your deputies...your kindness and special act of giving is much appreciated.
