Scott County Sheriff and Deputies Enjoyed the Festive Day with the Scott County Community - "Proud to Bring Mayberry Back"!

Scott County- On June 24th (Saturday) at 9:00 am, the City of Scottsburg and the Scott County Community welcomed people from all over to Scott County during the "Bring Mayberry Back to Scottsburg Parade". What a great event it was! People, young and old gathered along the parade route, enjoying the people dressed in costume, the numerous cars from that era, a howling dog, and even a rideable garden tiller (that one is hard to explain without a picture...LOL).

Sheriff Goodin and Reserve Deputy Steve Frey made a lot of children smile by passing out (to kids only) their own tee-shirt, marked with a sheriff's star and last year's Scott County Sheriff's Office slogan (coined by Sheriff Goodin) ... "Proud to Bring Mayberry Back" on the back. Truly, it was a wonderful event...Welcome back, Mayberry!
