On January 4, 2013, an arrest warrant for Alfred Ray Noble was received by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department. Noble was charged with Attempted Murder, Criminal Deviate Conduct, Aggravated Battery and Strangulation from an incident which occurred at the Scott County Detention Center between Noble and another inmate; investigation continues.
On January 7, 2013, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department investigated two crashes with injuries. The first was at State Road 56 and Boatman Road where two vehicles collided in the intersection. Vienna and Scottsburg Firemen worked to free an individual from the wreckage and he was subsequently transported via helicopter to Louisville. The second crash was at the intersection of U S 31 and Coffee Pot Road where a moped collided with a truck. The driver of the moped was transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
On January 9, 2013, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department investigated a fatal crash on State Road 356 in Lexington. Deputy Arnold reported that the driver ran off the South side of the road and struck a culvert head on. The Scott County Coroner pronounced the driver deceased.
On January 10, 2013, Sheriff McClain met with Scott School District II Officials at Johnson Elementary to discuss protocol on school safety. A safety walk-through was conducted as well as a round table discussion on how better to protect our children.
The Scott County Security Center transported 25 inmates to Superior Court and 22 inmates to Circuit Court since Friday January 4th. They also transported 10 inmates to various locations, such as, Department of Corrections and Doctor Appointments.
