SCOTT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
POSITION: Sheriff Deputy Full Time
WORK SCHEDULE: (Varies / 24 Hour Public Service Operation)
QUALIFICATIONS: 21 years of age; Completion of required Indiana Law Enforcement Academy Training; Ability to complete other
required training as needed. Possession of a
Valid Indiana Driver’s License and be in good
standing with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
APPLICATION Application Process: Candidates can obtain a Scott County
Employment Application from the Scott County Auditor’s Office from 8:30 to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The Application must be submitted to the Auditor’s office by 12 noon on March 6th, 2015.
Basic Skills Test: A written test for the job of
Deputy Sheriff for all Non Indiana Law Enforcement
Academy graduates will be administered on Saturday,
March 14th, 2015. Applicants are to arrive at the Scott County
Courthouse in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room
(1st Floor) to take the test. All applicants must submit an application on or before March 6th, 2015 by 12 noon in the Auditor’s office to be eligible to take the test. Registration will begin at 9:30 am and the written test will begin promptly at 10:00 am. This exam will require approximately two and one half (2 1/2) hours of time. Applicants are to bring an Indiana Drivers License to verify identity at the test site. Applicants MUST attend the test session to proceed in the selection process. Interviews will be conducted by the Sheriff’s Dept. officials once tests have been sent off and scored.
