Five Arrested in Drug Case

December 6, 2015: Deputies with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office received information from a tip of a possible wanted person and manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the area of Harrod and Meridian Roads.

Surveillance was conducted on a residence located at 33 East Harrod Road looking for signs of the wanted person and any illicit activity. Activity was noticed which was not consistent with the typical homeowner and Deputies decided to make contact based on the prior information given as well as the odd behavior taking place.

As Deputies entered the driveway, they smelled a strong Chemical odor commonly associated with Methamphetamine production. Upon exiting their patrol cars, contact was made with Frank Driggers, and Cody Williams at the side door entrance to the residence.

A Search Warrant was secured for the property and residence, and subsequently served on the residence. As a result of the evidence located, the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was requested to assist in collecting any toxic chemicals and processed as evidence of the crime.
