Drug Investigation Leads To Large Seizure Of Heroin

Brian A. Leep

On March 11, 2014, following an investigation, authorities arrested Brian Leep for operating a vehicle with a revoked driver’s license.  Leep’s driver’s license was suspended as a Habitual Traffic Violator, making it a felony for him to operate a motor vehicle.

At the time of his arrest, Leep was found to be in possession of items consistent with dealing narcotics and a substantial amount of US currency. This discovery led authorities to continue the investigation and they received information that at the time of Leep’s arrest, he was to be in possession of a large quantity of heroin.

After obtaining this information, authorities contacted the staff at the Scott County Security Center and made them aware of the situation; they reviewed video and searched the holding cell where they found Leep to be in possession of a large quantity of heroin.

The heroin recovered field tested positive and weighed approximately one ounce, making this the largest heroin seizure by Scott County Authorities.

Leep has been charged with Dealing in Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Heroin), Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Heroin)-more than 3 grams, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Operating as a Habitual Traffic Violator.
