Scott County Sheriff Announces Results of "Operation Friendly Reminder" Drug Dealer Eradication Effort

 

Scott County-The latest drug dealer identification and subsequent eradication action, labeled "Operation Friendly Reminder" by Scott County Sheriff Jerry Goodin, resulted in several more arrest of drug dealers operating in the Scott County community.  Operation Friendly Reminder again reiterates the commitment made by Sheriff Goodin to the people of Scott County when he was elected their Sheriff, to identify and eliminate drug dealers from their neighborhoods. Detective Corporal Paul Clute and Deputy Ryan Ware led this specific operation, resulting in multiple drug buys during the operational phase while partnering with the community who consistently reported tips to the office.  Again, Sheriff Goodin stated "we can't do what we do without the support and assistance from our citizens...I am eternally grateful to serve as the Sheriff of Scott County, where all citizens are committed to making our home the safest county in America to live and raise a family". The following arrest were made as a result of Operation Friendly reminder;

David Parks, 35 of Seymour IN was arrested for Dealing in Cocaine or Narcotic Drug (Level 5 Felony) and a Warrant for Escape.

 

 

Gregory Poggel, 29 of Crothersville IN was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine - at Least 1 Gram , LT 5 Grams and Dealing in Cocaine or Narcotic Drug - at Least 1 Gram , LT 5 Grams ( 2 counts ), all Level 4 Felonies.

 

Leroy D. Whitaker, 55 of Scottsburg, IN was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine 1-5 grams, Level 4 Felony (2 counts) and Dealing in Methamphetamine 0-1 grams, Level 5 Felony.

*Leroy Whitaker is currently incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail, awaiting extradition to Scott County on the above charges.

 

Alexander J. Riley, 23, Medora IN was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine 1-5 grams, Level 4 Felony and Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony.

*Alexander J. Riley is currently incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail, awaiting extradition to Scott County on the above charges.

 

 

Shawn D. Hensley, 31, Crothersville, IN was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine 1-5 grams with enhancing circumstances, Level 3 Felony (4 counts), Dealing in Methamphetamine 1-5 grams with enhancing circumstances, Level 4 Felony.

*Shawn D. Hensley is currently incarcerated at the Bartholomew County Jail, awaiting extradition to Scott County on the above charges.
