Hammer Falls on 13 Suspects with two of the Arrested Accounting for nearly 29 Grams of Deadly Methamphetamine

"Scott County Getting Safer with Every Arrest and Every Day"

Scott County-On July 20, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman went to an address in rural Scott County in an attempt to serve an outstanding arrest warrant.  Upon arrival John Spear, 60, of Scottsburg was arrested on an outstanding out of County arrest warrant.

On July 20, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman responded to a business in Lexington, IN, for the report of theft.  Upon arrival an investigation led to the arrest of two people on theft related charges. 

Brittany Gabbard, 27, of Scottsburg was arrested for Theft, Less than $750. 

Shelly Caswell, 42, of Bedford, IN, was arrested for Theft, Less than $750.

On July 21, 2021, Deputy Kacey Reschar and Corporal Johnney Coomer served an outstanding arrest warrant at the Scott County Security Center. 

William Deaton, 21, of Austin was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear.

On July 23, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Malachi Sutton, 18, of Scottsburg for Operator Never Licensed.

On July 24, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Jacob Robinson, 25, of Deputy, IN, for Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.

On July 24, 2021, Deputy Kacey Reschar and Corporal Johnney Coomer conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Gerald Mahoney, 29, of Madison, IN, for Dealing in Methamphetamine At Least 10 Grams, Possession of Methamphetamine At Least 28 Grams, two counts of Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug At Least 5 but Less than 10 Grams, Possession of a Synthetic Drug or a Synthetic Drug Lookalike Substance, Driving While Suspended Prior and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

On July 25, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of Patricia Doss, 57, of Scottsburg for Driving While Suspended Prior.

On July 25, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman responded to an address in Austin in reference to an ongoing investigation.  Sergeant Hartman was assisted by Officer Cody Kelly of the Austin Police and Deputies Skylar Thompson Jessica Dickey from the Scott County Sheriff's Office. 

At the completion of the investigation three people were arrested on drug related charges. 

Jessica Wilson, 40, of Austin was arrested for Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule I or II Narcotic Drug At Least 5 but Less Than 10 Grams, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia. 

Kallie White, 24, of Austin was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance. 

Emily Lamaster, 25, of Austin was arrested for Visiting a Common Nuisance.

On July 25, 2021, Deputy Skylar Thompson conducted a traffic stop in rural Scott County.  An investigation led to the arrest of two people for drug related charges. 

Melvin Cooley, 35, of New Albany, IN, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. 

Agnes Davis, 50, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Visiting a Common Nuisance.
