Tag Team Effort between Deputies, Troopers, Austin Officers and Warrant Walk- Ins, lands 20 people in the Scott County Jail in 48 Hours for numerous offenses

Scott County-In the last 48 Hours officers from the Scott County Sheriff's Office, Indiana State Police and the Austin City Police along with Warrant Walk-Ins lodged a total of twenty people in the Scott County Jail on various charges. Below are the Arrests and Walk-ins from the Sheriff's Office, (photos below description of arrest). On April 7, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman and the Scott County Probation Office conducted a home visit in Scottsburg at the home of Jason Wesson. While conducting the home visit an investigation led to the arrest of two people for drug related charges. Jason Wesson, 44, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Josephine Holt, 38, of Scottsburg was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia.
On April 7, 2021, First Sergeant John Hartman observed Ereinna Woods, age 40, of Scottsburg, at Scott County Sheriff's Office and appeared to be impaired. Further investigation revealed, Woods is on probation and was taken to Community Corrections. Woods advised an individual, identified as Don Strong, age 58, of Lexington, and was enroute to pick her up. F/Sgt. Hartman observed Don Strong in his vehicle by the Sheriff's Office. Upon further investigation, Strong was a Habitual Traffic Violator and was driving without a valid license. Woods was taken into custody and arrested for Public Intoxication and Escape-Flees from Lawful Detention. Strong was arrested and charged with Habitual Traffic Violator, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
Late last night, Corporal Johnny Coomer and Deputy Josh Hammond conducted a traffic stop on State Road #56 east of Scottsburg. During the stop an investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Christopher Bott, M/40, Dupont, IN was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a 1, 2, 3 or 4 Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Driving While Suspended Prior. The passenger of the vehicle, Tricia Engle, F/33, was also arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of a 1, 2, 3, or 4 Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and Violation of the Legend Drug Act.
On 4-6-2021 just after 8:00 pm, Deputy Zach Brown made a traffic Stop on U. S. #31 in Underwood on Christopher Kiviniemi, M/47, Scottsburg, IN. During the stop it was discovered Christopher Kiviniemi was a Habitual Traffic Violator and never a Licensed Driver. Marijuana and Paraphernalia were also located. He was charged, Habitual Traffic Violator, Operator Never Licensed, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia
